What a Big Year

  On New Year's eve Josh put on a slide show showing all the pictures and videos we took during the year of 2012. As we watched we kept saying, "what a big year!" We watched for over an hour and only got halfway through the year. As we watched the first half of the year these are some of the things that stuck out to us.

Amaya lost her first tooth this year! Then her second.
I made Velcro chonis for Amaya to wear after her surgery.
Lidie got her first pair of shinny leggings! Silver, then black, then gold and now pink!
Lidie was obsessed with tornadoes, and big foot this year.
Amaya was wearing a shoe lift up until her surgery in March. She hasn't wore one since!
We had our love party before Amaya's surgery.
It was nice to see the girls playing.
We had many beach trips before and after she had her fixator.
The day of pre-ops before surgery.
All the last minute things we did before we got the fixator put on; aquarium, beach.

Seeing how shorter her left leg was when she first had her fixator put on.
Amaya's first steps with the fixator six weeks post surgery (because of her hip osteotomy she couldn't weight bear for the first six weeks).

Baby Jazmine was born!

    It was pretty amazing to watch all the movies and see the pictures! I hope we finish watching them all. I was so grateful to Josh for putting it on for us. And I was glad that I documented our year and time with the fixator on the blog and through photos and videos.
   We got some snow over the weekend so we went out yesterday and played in it with our friends.
